Just Log Off is a movement that helps families disconnect from screens at the same time, and reconnect with what matters most.
Imagine what you could do with one more hour each day.
Partners — building toward, not claiming yet
The hours counter goes live here once 100 families have pledged. Real number, or no number.
How it works
Same time every day. Dinner, bedtime, Sunday morning, whatever your house can keep.
iOS Screen Time or Android Digital Wellbeing does the blocking. Free, already on the phone.
Parents too. That's the part that makes it work, and the part most people skip.
What will you do with it?

It's not about less screen time.
It's about more family time.
The idea
This idea has been sitting with us since the late 1990s, back when “always online” was a promise, not a problem. It was obvious even then that the more connected we got, the more we'd need permission to disconnect.
That time is now. Not because screens are evil. Because presence has quietly become the scarcest thing in the house.
So here's the whole idea, and there isn't more to it than this:
One hour.
Every day.
Everyone.
Not a rule for the kids. Not an app that watches you. Not a 30-day detox that ends and changes nothing. One hour where the whole house is off at the same time, and something real happens in it.
Twenty-four hours. One of them is yours.
It's one episode. Two scrolls. The gap between dinner and bed.
It's also: a meal where nobody checks anything. A walk. A conversation that goes somewhere because nothing interrupted it. Your kid telling you about their day, unprompted, because there was space for it.
The hour is small enough that you'll actually do it, and big enough that you'll notice.
Read this bit out loud
So this isn't a rule handed down. Nobody's phone gets confiscated, nobody gets monitored, and nobody gets a score.
The pledge
Tell us when, and what you'll do with it. That's the whole commitment. No account, no download, no app to install.
Every hour pledged gets counted. Schools, workplaces and families are signing up together, because logging off alone is hard, and logging off at the same time as everyone else is easy.
We're building family challenge packs for classrooms and teams.
Be part of something bigger. For families. For childhood. For the future.
